Five years of service
CSA Stars Shine in April and May

The stars were shining at Camps Arifjan and Buehring as a total of 138 CSA employees were honored at Five Year Service Award Ceremonies held at their respective installations in April and May.

Each honoree received a certificate and commemorative plate.

During the ceremonies, interesting demographics were given on the assembled groups. According to a questionnaire circulated weeks before the event, the following held true for this group:

  • Representation from every directorate with the exception of Human Resources
  • Department with the most honorees: At Arifjan, Petroleum Supply Department, with 39; At Buehring, Field Maintenance Service (FMS-B).
  • Lots of sportsmen: cricket, football, soccer, volleyball, softball, bowling, basketball, Badminton, table tennis
  • Hobbies: collecting ancient Greek and Roman coins, fishing, building model military aircraft, among others
  • Children: One honoree’s son is going to be an NBA all-star. Three honorees had babies on the way
  • Marriage: This was a big topic for honorees. Six were married here in Kuwait, one claimed to be looking for a bride, and another, a 31-year-old Eastern employee, stated that he was single and that his family was shopping for his bride
